vBulletin 3.7.1 Released

Posted on May 29th, 2008 by Gabriel Harper

Approximately one month after the vBulletin 3.7.0 Gold release, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. has released a round of bug fixes and improvements in the vBulletin 3.7.1 update. Many vBulletin owners have still yet to upgrade to vBulletin 3.7.0 so this is a good time to jump right to the new version. Let’s look at what’s different in vBulletin 3.7.1.

  1. Control deletion of social groups
  2. Customizable delimiter used for thread tags
  3. Customizable “good word” and “bad word” lists for tags
  4. Visitor messages and picture comments fully support ignore (the “Tachy Goes to Coventry” feature.
  5. Reduced memory usage for uploads

If you’re like me, you’re wondering what the hell is Tachy Goes to Coventry. This is just a strange name for the ignore system. From what I can find, the phrase “sending someone to Coventry” means to silence them. Tachy is apparently someone who needed to be silenced. :)
