Google PageRank Toolbar Down
Posted on March 24th, 2009 by Gabriel HarperSometimes the PageRank toolbar blacks out and it appears to be one of those times. For the last 24 hours or so it’s been reporting “No PageRank information available” for most top-level domains. Many subpages are still showing PR on the toolbar, and a lot of sites seem unaffected.
When the toolbar isn’t working I use the prtool PageRank checker to see what a few datacenters are reporting. DigPageRank also has a lot of google DC’s in their PR checker. There are plenty of PageRank checker sites in case any of them happen to be down.
In this case it appears that a lot of datacenters are reporting “No PageRank information available” for totally random sites, but maybe this is part of an update and not a technical problem.
Either way it doesn’t really matter, but if you work online and have people pestering you about PR – well it’s nice when Google has working datacenters.

The problem appears to have been resolved now and toolbar PageRank is reporting normal results again. No changes in ranking that I’ve noticed.
